These Skinny Watermelon Lemon Slushies are the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer’s day. Thanks to no sugar added, you will be sipping these 3 ingredient treats guilt free!
July is birthday month in our family. It is my mom’s birthday, Nick’s dad, Stella’s great grandma, and of course Baby Stella…which happens to be today! I can’t believe my sweet girl is one! Can someone please tell me where the time goes? I feel like it was just yesterday that we were sitting in that hospital room and the nurse placed her in my arms. I cried uncontrollably, tears of joy, happiness, excitement and complete awe that this precious little angel was mine. Since then, she has amazed us every single day and brought countless smiles to my face. Here she is at just a week old and it’s amazing that I can remember this day like it was yesterday.
As ironic as it may be, I truly believe she has taught me far more than I have ever taught her. She has taught me patience, perseverance (especially on those long nights when she was awake at two am), and she has helped me find my passion. Stella keeps me focused and above all she is a constant reminder of God’s grace and that he truly does make beautiful things.
They say good things come in small packages and it couldn’t be more true. We love our Baby Stella. Can I still call her a baby even though she is 1 now? I have a feeling I’ll still think of her as my baby even when she is grown.
So in honor of Stella, next week I will be sharing all the fun treats that I will be making for her birthday party on Saturday! But I thought I would share one today just to give you all a little sneak peak. I love all things pink and watermelon is our favorite summer fruit. So naturally these skinny watermelon lemon slushies were a hit in our house! They are so easy to make and really refreshing!
As a bonus I have another exciting treat to share with you today! Triolo’s Bakery sent me some samples of their gorgeous cakes to try out. They came at a perfect time because we are overloading on cake for Stella’s birthday. We loved them all! My favorite was the Lemon Almond Raspberry Cake but Nick really loved their Almond Chocolate Coconut Cake. Triolo’s is a small boutique bakery located out of New Hampshire. Their gourmet cakes have gained so much popularity that they are now selling them by the slice. So if you are anything like me and would rather have a big ol’ piece of cake for a special occasion instead of flowers then this is the place for you!
They beautifully package each slice of cake individually and send it with a fork and note so it is ready to be cut in to as soon as one opens the box. I don’t know about you but getting cake in the mail for me is ALWAYS a good thing.
AND even better news! Triolo’s and I have partnered up and are doing a giveaway to send some gourmet cake slices your way! Head over to my Instagram to enter! Good luck!
